This policy explains what information the Amelio iPhone app ("Amelio", "we") collects, how it's used, and your choices. We collect only what's needed to run the app, and we don't sell your data or use it for advertising.
We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, or advertising identifiers, and we don't track you across other apps or websites.
Like most online services, our hosting providers keep server logs, including IP addresses, for security and abuse prevention.
To provide the app's features (sharing chores, bills and supplies within your household), to send reminders and account emails such as email confirmation, to keep the service secure, and to find and fix bugs.
We use a small number of providers to run Amelio, each processing data only on our behalf:
We keep your information while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time in the app (House → Account → Delete account). When you do, we remove or de-identify your email address, name, password and other account details, delete your notification settings, and permanently disable sign-in. Content you created that other members of your household rely on — for example a bill you split — is kept for them but shows as created by "Former roommate", and any open chores, bill shares or supply runs assigned to you are reassigned to another member. If you're the last member of a household, the household and all of its content are deleted. You can also email us to request deletion.
Diagnostic reports aren't linked to your account, so they aren't removed by account deletion; they're deleted automatically after 30 days.
Data is encrypted in transit, and access to household data is restricted so only members of that household can see it.
Amelio is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your information. Contact us and we'll help.
If we change this policy we'll update the date above, and for significant changes we'll let you know in the app.
